July 31.

Perfect submission, all is at rest. I in my Savior am happy and blessed. Watching and waiting, looking above. Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

July 30.

For some reason, my photo is not uploading.  And I'm just too tired to try and mess with it.
Instead, a synopsis of my day:

I had a talk with my best friend this afternoon that really encouraged me.  I came to realize that in spite of the overwhelming fear I often face, in spite of the discouragement and frustration I often feel, God truly is in control of my situations.

Two of my friends, Rachel and Michael, came over to my house.  Rachel and I haven't hung out with Mike in a long time and it was really good for all of us to catch up.

Later, Rachel and I saw Crazy Stupid Love.  Yes, major chick flick, but I liked it for some reason.  It, too, was a bit encouraging.  A little weird at some points, but it was a cute movie.

However, on our way home, Rachel got a call informing her that a boy from her school was hospitalized after being run over by a car.  All I know is that his name is Jacob and he is going into his junior year.  Be praying for him.

Sidenote: today is National Dance Day.  Just in case you were wondering. (:

July 29.

My friend, Kyle, her family, and her boyfriend (who, oddly enough, is also named Kyle) came over for dinner tonight.  She's leaving Kyle and I behind soon when she heads off to Mississippi for college.  I'm glad they're staying together in spite of the distance.  They're a great couple.

July 27.

Rach came to my house today.  Typically I only upload one per day, but we just had way too much fun for one picture.  Love this girl.

July 26.

Woke up this morning to find this guy in my house. Apparently, turning 15 has changed him.

Just kidding. His band has a different theme every day for band camp, and today's theme is thug.  I'm still trying to figure out if it's a good idea to have over one hundred white kids dress up like thugs in the middle of downtown.  Who knows, but this is certainly an amusing way to start my day.

July 25.

My brother turned 15 today!  He celebrated most of his day being tortured at band camp lugging around a 30 inch drum for hours on end in the hot sun.  He also got his permit.  This would be the part where I tell everyone to stay off the road, but you don't have much to worry about with this kid.  He's got a good head on his shoulders.  He's a little awkward, but he's a good kid.

Yes - by the way - that is a birthday pie.
Why pie?  Because pie is awesome.  Duh.

If grace is an ocean..

My spirit is willing, but my flesh is so weak. I cry in Your arms now. God, grant me the strength to rest in You.

When it's all over.

Can't really sleep.  This particular dance really got to me tonight.  Not sure why, since I've seen it a million times.
I guess I'm just in a funny mood.

The Butterfly House

And last but not least, the butterfly house.  My fairy loving baby sister was in heaven.  On our way back to Panama City, we stopped at the Callaway Gardens and saw a bunch butterflies.  And a bunch of pretty flowers, too.  They had plumerias.  My favorite. (:

Atlanta.

While my dad was at a conference, the rest of us wandered around Atlanta.  The city is way to big for me.  But it's definitely fun to visit.  Maybe next time I'll get to go to a Braves game with my bestie.  That'd be a blast.  Anyway, just some stuff from this trip:

Saw this in an elevator. Made me laugh.

The carving in the side of Stone Mountain.

We went to the Original Chick Fil A, also known as the Dwarf House.  Yes, I walked through that tiny little door.
Because I'm a little kid.

Some fishies and stuff from the ATL Aquarium.
That place is way too expensive, by the way.

In addition to lots of dinos, this natural history museum featured mythological creatures, too. Winning.

Alligator Farm

While we were at the Alligator Farm (which was more of an alligator/crocodile/bird/snake/turtle zoo), my sister and I kept noticing all of these really weird face statues randomly placed around the zoo.  Farm.  Thing.

So, as any normal person would do, we made it a mission to find all the faces in the zoo and try to imitate them.

St. Augustine

The first portion of our trip was spent in St. Augustine.
That city is gorgeous.

I took a tour of Flagler College,  I visited Castillo de San Marcos and watched re-enactors fire cannons off the wall of the Spanish fort,  I toured the old jail that Henry Flagler built in 1891 to replace the jail that was located across the street from his hotel (which was later turned into Flagler College),  I went to a history museum, a pirate museum, and an alligator farm.  Although we went to a beach, it was pretty gloomy and I didn't like the sand. Not like PC beaches.  So, even though the college is super pretty...I'm still not sure it could beat going to school here in PC.  But maybe that's just me.  Also, a good friend of my big sister is currently attending Flagler so we met up with him one evening and had dinner.

It was all pretty cool. Especially the pirate museum.  Apparently, it's the largest collection of pirate artifacts in the world.
